Frequently asked questions

What does BC look for in an applicant?

We believe that everyone is different and will bring their own unique experiences and perspectives to the organization. People who join BC tend to have leadership experience and deep analytical skills. We look for candidates who are enthusiastic and tenacious about solving puzzles, who yearn to succeed as individuals and as part of a team.

Do I need to have consulting experience?

BC doesn't require consulting experience, or business experience, for that matter. Our work is broad enough to utilize the existing skillsets of students from any professional and educational background and major. We look instead for students who can think critically and have the initiative to bring up great ideas, as well as the passion to learn how to approach and solve complex problems.

Is BC only for business majors?

No. BCers come from a wide variety of majors. Whether you are studying psychobiology, business economics, computer science, or communications, we embrace the diversity of our organization and look forward to what you can add to the team.

What does the interview process involve?

The interview process gives us insight into both your experiences and how you would approach client work. We want to learn about your accomplishments, motivations, and passions. We also want to see how you process business problems that reflect the challenges our clients face. Interviews will be one hour long, and consist of a combination of behavioral and case interview questions.
